In today's era of pursuing efficient and environmentally friendly heating and cooling, heat pump systems have become the preferred choice for many households and commercial facilities. Within the entire heat pump system, the compressor undoubtedly serves as its "heart"—it acts like the engine of the system, driving the circulation of refrigerant and is the core component enabling heat transfer. However, this "heart" is costly and operates under demanding conditions, making its safety and longevity crucial. Standing guard over it, often unnoticed, is the heat pump compressor protector. It functions like a "dedicated bodyguard" and an "intelligent switch" for the compressor, preventing issues before they arise.
To be installed inside of compressor, it can do accurate induction when the temperature increases due to the overload, overcurrent condition. It has double protection functions of thermal and current sensing.
When the compressor is overloaded and the current increases abnormally, the inside of the compressor temperature will rise rapidly. When the temperature or the current reached to the set point, bimetal trip and protector operate and cut off the compressor circuit. This protector function will prevent the compressor burn out, electrical damage, and end up with the fires or accidents.
